Movement & Imagination for the Actor explores a creative embodiment practice using our personal and collective imagery, poetry, and story. Discover the relationship between the symbolic language of dreams and the physical language of the body. In this multi-session workshop learn how movement exploration accesses the body’s intuition and expresses a language similar to dreams, explore our physical language rooted in storytelling, and discover the practice of active imagination using intuitive movement and dream imagery. A talisman’s meaning is significant, highly personal, and often spiritual. It is meant to complete us in such a way that in seeing the talisman or recalling it, we are reminded of a deeper truth, of who we are, and our belonging.  Participants will explore and discover the embodiment of our dream talisman through breath and movement. Our body and breath act as metaphor for the symbols we carry which and can be a source of healing and imagination. We will work with one another’s dream symbols through movement and there will be time for writing and reflection. New and experienced participants are welcome! • 45

Each week we will accompany a participant with their dream and we will have more time to explore the various portals to creative practice for dreamwork including: free form journaling, the sensory, movement practice, fairy tale writing, and more.
